What we do

Our mission is not to intervene in individuals’ private lives, but to provide the support and care necessary for clients to gain the level of independence for which they can take responsibility.

St Paul’s Hostel charity operates three projects within Worcester aimed at targeting homelessness and its causes. They are: the Hostel, the Dry House and the Resettlement Project.

St Paul's Hostel for the Homeless

St Paul’s Hostel for the Homeless is a direct access hostel for single adults. There are 40 male beds and 6 female. Anyone can ask us directly for a bed, or be referred via an agency.

The Dry House

The Dry House is a seven bed house for men who are recovering from substance abuse and dependency issues.

The Resettlement Service

The Resettlement Service is for people who have lived at the hostel. The Resettlement Team are based within the hostel, and help develop client-driven strategies for rehousing. They provide ‘move-on’ accommodation for fifteen adults and nominations for more permanent housing.

St Paul's Hostel celebrated its 30th anniversay between March 07 - March 08. We held events to mark the occassion. A lot has happened since it started at the vicarage of St Paul's Church in 1977.
