Big Sleep Out 2009

Well, what a good day, and night, everyone had!

The bouncy castle and the homemade cake stall proved to be a good pull for passers-by who were drawn in to see what it was all about. And then the games, tea and raffle helped them to stay longer!
There was Giant Jenga and Beat the Goalie to entertain observers.
In all there were about 25 sleeper-outers, on a par with the previous years. Several large constructions appeared, one housing 6 university students, and one contained our stalwart Taylor family. We were very pleased to see Lyn and Colin Davies again with their little dog, from Brierley Hill. Lyn made and beautifully decorated 3 super cakes to be raffled.

We are one of the Mayor of Worcester's Charities of the Year.

The Mayor chose St Paul's Hostel and the Breast Cancer Unit Appeal as her two charities to support this year.  There have been events to  raise money throughout the year, and more to come before her tenure finishes in April.
